REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

 DESIGNER SERVICES DISHERWASHER REPLACEMENT HPS

 PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 2:00 PM ON MAY 22, 2025

 

TThe Holyoke Public Schools (“City”) hereby requests qualifications from firms for designer services for the design, acquisition, and installation of new dishwashers at multiple schools including required construction services. The successful designer will manage this process under the direction of the Superintendent and in cooperation with the Facilities Department. Total project cost is estimated to be $1,200,000.00 exclusive of designer fees.
The City has allocated $1,200,000.00 in Food Service Revolving Funds (Federal and State Funding) for the purpose of replacing multiple dishwashers that are either inoperable or have exceeded their life expectancy. All funds awarded under this RFQ must be expended by August 30, 2026.
All activities funded by Food Service Revolving Funds are subject to the requirements of 2 CFR Part 200 – the federal Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 7C, Section 44 – Section 58, and all contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Qualifications. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFQ or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective proposers who received copies of the original request. The Designer shall be a person who is registered by the Commonwealth as an Architect or Professional Engineer and who has at least five (5) years’ experience in the design, construction, and supervision of construction of buildings. The “Awarding Authority” will be the Superintendent.

A non-mandatory highly recommended pre-bid conference will be held on April 30, 2025, at 10AM at Central Supply, 728 Main Street, Holyoke, MA 01040

Documents will be available from the City of Holyoke’s Purchasing Office, 536 Dwight Street, Room 3, Holyoke, MA 01040 beginning at 10:00AM on Monday April 14, 2025. Documents may be requested via email to morrowj@holyoke.org or in person at the City of Holyoke’s Purchasing Office. The deadline to submit bid proposals is May 22, 2025, by 2:00PM, at which time all submissions received will be publicly recorded in compliance with Chapter 30B and the City of Holyoke’s Ordinances. THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS.

The City of Holyoke invites sealed bids from qualified individuals or firms for the Holyoke Public
Schools for: Exterior site work and play structure assembly at McMahon School 75 Kane Road, Holyoke in accordance with contract documents and specifications prepared by the City of Holyoke. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J and minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26-27H, inclusive as amended. It shall be the responsibility of each supplier to assure compliance with any OSHA, EPA, CORI, DEP, and/or FEDERAL, STATE of MASSACHUSETTS rules, regulations or other requirements, as each may apply. Sealed bids for this project shall be received by the City of Holyoke from responsible, responsive & qualified bidders submitted on forms furnished by the City and clearly identified on the outside of the bid with the name and address of the bidder, and the name and Bid Number of the project, and submitted to:

A non-mandatory strongly encouraged pre-bid walk through will be held on May 9th, 2025, at 10AM at McMahon School 75 Kane Road, Holyoke, MA 01040 bidders are asked to park on the street.
Bids will be received until 2:00 PM ON MAY 22nd, 2025. Email submissions will not be accepted. This project is funded in part or in whole using Federal Funding. Respondents must be eligible to receive Federal funds and will be verified. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

LANDSCAPING SERVICES CITY ISLANDS

The City of Holyoke is requesting quotes for landscaping services for several city owned “island” locations throughout the city. Interested applicants should have experience in Landscaping/design. All locations must be maintained weekly. The city is looking for a price to get the spaces looking presentable with appropriate shrubbery, flowers, plantings as well as an hourly rate for weekly maintenance. The contract term is expected to start ASAP and run until the end of the fall season (November-Dec?) There may be a possibility of up to 3yrs, based on vendor performance and funding. The selected vendor must be able to start immediately as we would like to beautify the city ASAP! Quotes will be accepted up until Friday May 9th. We would like to select a vendor immediately.
