Dean Technical High School 1045 Main Street Holyoke MA 01040 paving project. Each area is to be mechanically saw-cut into a square shape in preparation for new hot asphalt paving material at a depth of three to four inches, which the contractor will provide. All patching and paving must be done with a binding product to ensure a good bond to the binder coat. In areas where the paving has deteriorated beyond the binder
coat and is down to the sub-base, the area must be prepped to allow for the correct paving procedure. All areas are to be patched and paved with a road-ready hot asphalt mix that is O.0.T. rated. All materials demolished in preparation for the new patching and paving are to be disposed of properly by the contractor. All fees associated with it
are to be included in the proposal. All areas that receive hot asphalt must be mechanically compacted to ensure a smooth, flat finished product.
Each proposal must include the labor and materials, including disposal for each section, while submitting separate proposals for each. All labor rates must use the Massachusetts prevailing wage, included in packet. Please email morrowj@holyoke.org for full bid packet.

Weatherization Improvements

The CITY OF HOLYOKE, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors
for the City of Holyoke Municipal Buildings Green Communities Weatherization at in
Holyoke, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by
ARCHITECTURE EL, INC..
The Project consists of but not limited to:
Weatherization improvements to City Hall, Holyoke City Hall Annex, Children's Museum
at Holyoke, Holyoke War Memorial Building and William J. Dean Tech High School;
generally including existing doors, and foam insulation installation where indicated.
The Contractor and all subcontractors (collectively referred to as “the Contractor”) agree
to strive to achieve minority and women workforce participation. The Workforce
Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. The
Workforce benchmark percentages are a statutory requirement under MGL c. 149 §
44A(2)(G).
The work is estimated to cost $115,000.00.
All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 06/13/2025 at
10:00AM EDT for general bids.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by
M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.
THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL

Donahue Elementary at 210 Whiting Farms Road and E.N. White School at 1 Jefferson Street Holyoke MA 01040 front sidewalk replacement project. Each concrete sidewalk area is to be mechanically removed and disposed of to the sub base and will be prepared with ¾” crushed stones, fines and mechanically compacted. Then install a minimum 3,500 psi concrete product at a depth of 3” to 4” or whatever height needs to
be met to match the surrounding sidewalks. All new concrete will be tooled and finished to match the surrounding, existing concrete at each site while installing expansion joints as needed to prevent cracking. All materials demolished in preparation for the new concrete sidewalks are to be disposed of properly by the contractor. All fees associated with it are to be included in the proposal. Each proposal must include the labor and materials, including disposal for each school, while submitting separate proposals for each. All labor rates must use the Massachusetts prevailing wage. IFB 2025-33W WISTARIAHURST RETAINING
WALL REHABILITATION (REBID)

The Wistariahurst Retaining Wall Rehabilitation Project consists of the rehabilitation of a section of historically significant masonry retaining wall on Pine Street. The project consists of reconstruction of the existing historical masonry wall, removal and reinstallation of wrought iron fence and coping, earthen excavation to subgrade, construction of a steel-reinforced cement concrete strip footing, installation of perforated pipe subdrain, and restoration of adjacent areas including repair of a 5-foot-wide asphalt sidewalk and loaming & seeding. The project
is anticipated to include 442 linear feet of continuous wall rehabilitation and sidewalk replacement from the intersection of Pine Street and Hampshire Street, northward along Pine Street. All potential bidders should be able to provide references for projects which included mortared stacked stone wall construction or reconstruction and Bidders must have completed one (1) comparable wall construction or
reconstruction project within the last seven (7) years. Reference and contact information must be provided for all projects submitted by the bidder to demonstrate said experience.

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR STRUCTURAL AND
GREEN SPACE REDEVELOPMENT AT CITY HALL PARKING DECK

Documents will be available starting on 6/16/2025 electronically from morrowj@holyoke.org The City of Holyoke is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified professional engineering and
design consulting firms to provide comprehensive services related to the demolition of the City
Hall Parking Deck and redevelopment of the site into a landscaped green space or public park.
This project will implement "Alternative 3" as identified in the Conditions Assessment Report
prepared by Tighe & Bond in February 2025 (Attachment A). The selected firm will deliver services spanning site evaluation, schematic design, final design, permitting, cost estimating, bidding, hazardous materials coordination, and construction supervision. This is a fee-based contract, and proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications, project approach, and cost. Scope of Services is to include but not limited to; Existing Conditions and Site Evaluation, Schematic and Final Design, Permitting & Documentation, Bidding Assistance, Construction Phase Services. 6/25/2025 Pre-Response Site Visit & Meeting (10:00 AM) at City Hall Parking Deck, 536 Dwight Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 (Not Mandatory).
