Wistariahurst Retaining Wall Rehabilitation

Sealed bids for Wistariahurst Retaining Wall Rehabilitation (Rebid), Holyoke, MA will be received on July 31, 2025 at the City of Holyoke Office of Procurement, 536 Dwight Street, Room 3, Holyoke, Massachusetts 01040, Attn: Jaime Morrow, Chief Procurement Officer until 2 PM prevailing time, at which said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted within a sealed envelope addressed to the “City of Holyoke
Office of Procurement, 536 Dwight Street, Room 3, Holyoke, Massachusetts 01040, Attn: Jaime Morrow, Chief Procurement Officer” and titled “Wistariahurst Retaining Wall Rehabilitation (Rebid), Contract # 2025-46W”. The Wistariahurst Retaining Wall Rehabilitation Project consists of the rehabilitation of a section of historically significant masonry retaining wall on Pine Street. The project consists of reconstruction of the existing historical
masonry wall, removal and reinstallation of wrought iron fence and coping, earthen excavation to subgrade, construction of a steel-reinforced cement concrete strip footing, installation of perforated pipe subdrain, and restoration of adjacent areas. The project is anticipated to include 442 linear feet of continuous wall rehabilitation from the intersection of Pine Street and Hampshire Street, northward along Pine Street. All potential bidders should be able to provide references for projects which included mortared and/or dry laid stacked stone wall construction or reconstruction and Bidders must have completed one (1) comparable wall construction or reconstruction project within the last seven (7) years. Reference and contact information must be provided for all projects submitted by the bidder to demonstrate said experience. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid briefing will occur on July 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST at the Wistariahurst Museum, 238 Cabot St., Holyoke, MA 01040, by the south end of Pine Street retaining wall. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the provisions of Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39 M as amended.Attention is called to the minimum wage rates required to be paid for all labor on this project. Wage

Request for Quotes 2025-30SD        Donahue & E. N. White Front Sidewalk Replacement

Donahue Elementary at 210 Whiting Farms Road and E.N. White School at 1 Jefferson Street Holyoke MA 01040 front sidewalk replacement project. Each concrete sidewalk area is to be mechanically removed and disposed of to the sub base and will be prepared with ¾” crushed stones, fines and mechanically compacted. Then install a minimum 3,500 psi concrete product at a depth of 3” to 4” or whatever height needs to
be met to match the surrounding sidewalks. All new concrete will be tooled and finished to match the surrounding, existing concrete at each site while installing expansion joints as needed to prevent cracking. All materials demolished in preparation for the new concrete sidewalks are to be disposed of properly by the contractor. All fees associated with it are to be included in the proposal. Each proposal must include the labor and materials, including disposal for each school, while submitting separate proposals for each. All labor rates must use the Massachusetts prevailing wage. A wage package is provided in the full packet.

Wastewater Contract Compliance
The City of Holyoke Department of Public Works is soliciting qualifications from professional engineering consulting firms for Wastewater Contract Compliance Management specific to the contract between the City of Holyoke and Veolia Water North America-Northeast LLC for the Facility Operation and Maintenance for Wastewater Treatment Plant, Collection, Stormwater, CSO, Flood Control Systems and Industrial Pretreatment Program Facilities. This contract is effective October 1, 2025, and is a ten-year term plus one additional five-year optional extension.
This RFQ, issued under the provisions of the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Holyoke, invites firms to submit their qualifications and plan to provide the services described. Subject to approval by the City, the contract term is one year, renewable up to two additional years, which will be mutually agreed upon based on vendor performance and availability of funding. Annual funding for this service is $100,000 provided through the Wastewater Long Term Service Agreement annual fee.

The Holyoke Public Schools is looking to replace the existing Hi-Bay400-watt Metal Halide lamps with LED Corn Cob bulbs at Dean Technical High School. The work will take place in the following shop locations by bypassing the ballast, rewiring in place a wire mogul base lamp holder to the line voltage conductors and replacing the existingHi-Bay 400-watt Metal Halide lamps with LED corn cob bulbs. Thecontractor is to supply all labor and material including lifts and permits. Plans are available starting on 8/6/2025 electronically by requesting from morrowj@holyoke.org or in person at no charge from the purchasing office. Bids will be received until 8/22/25 at 2PM at which time they will be opened and publically read.
