As part of Public Service Recognition Week, Personnel Director, Kelly Curran, has invited city employees to nominate colleagues that they believe go above and beyond as public servants.
We would like to highlight the employees that had been nominated and thank them for their impact their work has on serving the people of this community.
As nominations come in throughout the week, we will continue to add to this page.

Suzanne Beyer
Board of Health Head Clerk

"Sue goes above and beyond every day. She often is seen multitasking at her desk. She will often be seen helping out our office during her lunchtime as well as staying after work to complete those necessary forms that need to get out to our citizens. During parade time as well as any events that our city provides, Sue is willing to take on the task and she does it well."

~Irma Ramirez

Megan Seiler
Wistariahurst Museum Director

"Megan has worked wonders at the Wistariahurst Museum in the few short years since she joined the city. With a shoestring budget and small staff, she and her team have still managed to build programming that caters to all walks of life in our community, including: an annual Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration, cemetery tours, Holiday Open Houses, house tours, Wisty Wednesdays, and rotating exhibits that showcase a meaningful diversity of cultures and perspectives. On top of all this she also somehow manages to secure funding and implement major capital improvements to the house and grounds, and oversees a small army of dedicated volunteers.
Megan brings scholars, artists, and community members together with a deep commitment to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and equitable space for all. She makes frequent appearances on Holyoke Media and NEPM's Connecting Point to promote upcoming events at Wistariahurst, and in so doing shows our region some of the best things our Holyoke community has to offer. Her acting credits include compelling portrayals of the house cook in the Skinner Servants Tour and Mr. Oakes in the Forestdale Cemetery Tour, showcasing another dimension of her versatile skill set and dedication to community engagement.
It is my opinion that we are extremely fortunate to have Megan around!"
