Holyoke native places fifth in 350 mile sled dog race Text Size

29-year old Holyoke native, Nicole Faille, came in fifth place in the Top of the World 350-mile Juneby Memorial Dog Sled Race in Tok, Alaska last December.

Faille finished fifth out of 22 racers and was the first female finisher in the race. She was also honored as the Top of the World Rookie of the Year. Faille is one of few female mushers in the male-dominated sport of dog sled racing.
