Governor-elect Baker Visits City Hall Text Size

Yesterday afternoon, Governor-elect Charlie Baker visited Holyoke City Hall, where he met privately with Mayor Alex Morse and State Representative Aaron Vega and discussed important issues facing the city. Prominent among those issues was the situation regarding the state’s practice of housing homeless people in the Holyoke Hotel. Topics also included education and economic development, and the governor-elect’s commitment to preserving local aid. Following this meeting, department heads were invited into the office to meet the newly elected governor.

“I was happy to welcome Governor-elect Baker to Holyoke,” Mayor Morse said. “I am looking forward to working with his administration to make sure Holyoke stays moving in the right direction.”
