The Holyoke Farmers’ Market will be hosting the second annual “Holyoke Farmers Market Cook-Off” to be held on August 16th from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM during our weekly market.

This year we will have returning champion Mayor Alex Morse, Chief of Police Manny Febo, Kathy Anderson, and Ward 1 City Councilor Gladys Lebron-Martinez battle each other out for the title of best cook.

The winner will be decided by a panel of three local judges, HCC President Christina Royal, Executive Chef of the Log Cabin and Delaney House Mick Corduff, and a lucky Culinary Student from the new HCC MGM Culinary Center

Each week the Holyoke Farmers’ Market delivers fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables to hundreds of people, not only from Holyoke, but around the area.

This years theme at the Holyoke Farmers’ Market is Come Together, an invitation for all to support and connect with one another. We love being that place in downtown Holyoke where people from all backgrounds come together and create community.

“I am excited and looking forward to a healthy competition between the contestants – they are bringing awareness to our market and for that I’m very thankful. Our contestants will cook like pros. Who knows, maybe one of them will find a new career in culinary arts.” said Andres Villada, Holyoke Farmers’ Market
