First Annual Indigenous Peoples Celebration Text Size

HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute, 164 Race Street

The Greater Holyoke Council for Human Understanding will hold its first annual Indigenous Peoples Celebration honoring the history, culture, and contributions of local indigenous communities. The event will be a collaboration with the HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute. Guests are invited to enjoy a selection of culinary creations from the students at the Institute. George Ashley, professor emeritus of History and Anthropology at Holyoke Community College will speak on the history of indigenous people from the region prior to European settlement. The event is free and open to our members, students, friends, and the public.
