Celebrate Holyoke Announces Date for the Fourth Annual Festival Text Size

Planning for Celebrate Holyoke is well underway, and the committee is pleased to announce the dates for this year’s event.  In addition, the committee welcomes applications from local food, alcohol and other vendors, including artisans and community organizations.

Celebrate Holyoke is a three-day festival that made its return in August of 2015 after a 10 year hiatus, drawing an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people downtown over the course of the weekend.  This year’s festival is scheduled for October 5, 6 and 7, and will include live musical performances, foods and beverages from local restaurants, and goods from local artists and makers.

Traditionally the event is scheduled in late August, but with many other events moving their dates to the same weekend, the committee decided to move the event in order to ensure its continued success. One large event that is now taking place when Celebrate was originally scheduled is the grand opening of MGM Springfield. The organizers are excited to announce that MGM has agreed to be a Paper City Star Sponsor.

The Planning Committee is seeking alcohol vendors, food trucks, restaurateurs, artisans, nonprofits and community organizations that are interesting in joining this exciting community event in downtown Holyoke. Applications are available in person at the Mayor’s Office or online at: www.celebrateholyokemass.com/vendors.

Volunteers are always needed, both before and during Celebrate Holyoke to help promote, plan and run the three-day event. Anyone interested in more information about volunteering, or the event in general, should visit www.celebrateholyokemass.com.
