Expect to assign tabled items to individual commissioners

Security. Continuing intermittent security system drop outs. Possibly weak WI-FI. Add hardwire for IP Phones and for distributed WI-FI nodes. City using Lyle electric. We expect to use Lyle and Collin’s Electric. Doors are now mostly being closed. Lizotte glass provided bid to replace plates and handles on front doors. Will also repair 2nd floor maintenance storage room and fix all doors on the main floor. Motion to accept plan from Lizotte. Is it possible to get specific feedback on which doors are open when we upgrade the security system. Make left two sets of doors emergency exit doors and clearly marked.

Lawn and external care, floor resurfacing. Communicated a detailed cleaning plan and job description to DPW. Brian Yabernowski has been doing the exterior yard and clean up work and is paid from the overtime budget. Can the city forester be assigned to maintain our trees.

Chandeliers. Tabled Collins. Waiting for a visit to troubleshoot the system and provide a quote for repair.

Attic Cleaning. Removed recycling boxes. DPW needs to remove trash and boxes. Need to look through cert and other items. Will schedule a walk through of the CERT equipment with Jeff from the CERT board. Meet Wednesday 17th to clear out stuff (10-2) ? See if we can be part of city cleanup time.

Commission stand by member. Looking to add Scott Mayer to the Soldiers Memorial Commission.

T-Shirts. Proposed to use funding from rental.

Audio system. Quotes have been submitted to mayor.

Floor resurfacing. Indefinitely suspended. DPW will clean and wax the floors.

Air Conditioner. Expect window units to be removed in a month.

Electric event board. Tabled.

Urinal status. Contractor will provide bathroom rework quote.

Floor cleaner battery has been replaced and is functional.

JFK memorial review. Will check on it. Don will check on status.

Capital improvement plan. Need to itemize all projects that cost more than $25K. Laddy compiled list. Request for commissioners to submit projects needed. Laddy listed items she has compiled for submissions and provided copies to the board.
Laddy has compiled a list of items to submit to the CPA board. Needs submitted by October 6th. Next CPA meeting tomorrow September 10th at 6pm and is meeting virtually via Zoom.

Laddy attended VOICE meeting and provided a summary of their activities.

Navy parade at big E at 6pm on Sunday 28th.

October 25th wrestling event and another meet in December.

November 15th Fiestas Patrenalas to host Salsa night at the War Memorial.

Meet October 14th, 2025. 6pm. Rick will lead meeting in Laddy’s absence.

June minutes accepted

Security system: Collin’s Electric will merge the external and internal video systems. Paid $317.48 so far. Have returned to do a assessment. Waiting for a proposal and quote. Will be done in three phases. Need to reset every day currently. Will not function if not reset. Systems need to be stored and copied to cloud storage for remote observation. Need to have twelve to twenty cameras for full coverage. Do we have a formal incident report process/form. The police do the reporting. Testing a volunteer doorman to check people in and out. Three persons signed up so far. Handicap access door is not fitting properly and closing properly.

Building Monitor Report: Looking for volunteers for this activity as well.

Lawn and external care. Currently using Lady’s small mower. Suggest that we prune the low branches of the trees to add in lawn care. Remove bushes. Need to purchase trimmer and lawnmower. Need no litter signs.

Chandeliers. Looking at getting Collin’s to fix it. Need to verify that Collin’s is being paid

Chief Dietrich basement naming. Tabled.

Attic Cleaning day: Review emergency supplies with CERT team. The 11th. Time TBD. committee member.

August 12th meeting or not. Unanimous vote not to meet on the 12th.

Table T-Shirts to next month.

Audio systems: We have two quotes currently. Delete the earlier quote. Still waiting for Valley Communications quote. Need a layman’s statement of what the systems are doing. Get clarification from mayor on quote prioritization. Ken will attempt to write a report comparing and contrasting the three quotes.

Floor resurfacing. Waiting for quote. Got replacement batteries so existing cleaning machines should able to be made functional. Get Stanley Steamer to clean the awards/meeting space. Need to set date. Friday would be ideal. Need to empty closets as well. Carpet does not go into the closets. Do this in September or later.

Air conditioners. Window units are installed. Existing system needs a circuit breaker. Possibly get Collin’s to asses the electrical systems loading and propose changes if needed.

JFK Memorial Review. No new information. Will invite Wayne. Table until we have availability.

Electric event board: Sign Technologies did Holyoke High School.

Upstairs Urinals. No new information.
