MINUTES (DRAFT)

Present: DJ O’Connor, Kate Kruckemeyer, Sgt. Bartolomei, Laura Wilson, Matt Sokop

Absent: Mary Monahan, Daphne Board, Israel Rivera, Harry Montalvo, David Bartley

Withdrawn from committee: Emily Guzman (no longer lives in Holyoke)

1. Call to order at 3:13
2. Discuss draft of letter to City Council regarding reconfiguring committee

We edited the letter and asked Chair Laura Wilson to send to City Council.

3. Request from HPD regarding additional parking signs near headquarters

Sgt. Bartolomei will reach out to Council directly as they are already taking this up.

4. Other business
   1. Reaffirm or transition Chair / Secretary roles? Laura has returned from parental leave and can re-take the Chair. Kate can continue as secretary.
5. Approval of minutes from June 13

Approved 5-0. July meeting was not held, due to lack of quorum because of difficulty with remote access, so there are no minutes from July.

No longer in her position: Mary Monahan (should be replaced in the invitation by Mike Gallagher)

1. Call to order 3:11
2. Prepare for meeting with Council’s Ordinance Committee regarding reconfiguring committee
   1. We believe 4 or 5 of us can be there at the Ordinance meeting on 11/19
   2. Ask Jeffery Anderson-Burgos to make sure that they all have copies of the report and establishing ordinance
   3. Message to convey: we believe the current structure doesn’t work
      1. It is difficult to meet (big group, shifting staff, disconnect between staff/residents about available times)
      2. Council isn’t referring anything to us

• Decisions should be made about how to implement parking study

1. If they want to have a parking committee, we suggest they modify the ordinance to make it workable
2. Staffing seems critical to success

3. Approval of minutes from Sept 4^th
