Grantee communications – Good reviews of Skating with Pride

Treasurer’s report  – $52,821.02 remaining from this past cycle

Annual community input surveys — Update on input so far. Generally seem to be going ok. How can we get more responses? Post on social media, Email to the mayor (Anne), Send to past recipients (Rachel), Flyer campaign (Rachel), 

Grants open Sept. 2nd, Close surveys by August 20th at midnight – Library, Cultural facilities?, Senior Center, Walk around at Patronales with surveys, HHST, Enlace – Navae, One Holyoke – Navae, Holyoke Media – Chris, Email Mass Appeal – (Rachel)

Review of HLCC-sponsored events 

Debrief of tabling at Holyoke Pride –People seemed to have good conversations, good chance to discuss what the council does, Estimated 30 responses

General announcements  (none)

Previous business — new member recruitment – keep looking for new people, update from TAC – moving forward looking to consult on the process again in 6 months. Could be different HLCC members each time, should have grant cycle experience. Elections – unanimous vote for Chris F and Navae to step in as co-chairs and co-treasurers as of Sept 1. Anne’s ex-officio year begins Feb 1. In future, stagger officer elections

Other business Review of HLCC website language – motion to affirm the current language – passed

Should we hold the grant writing workshop again? – Previously held at Holyoke Media, Discussion of having it be a hybrid meeting – possibly the week of Sept 14, get availability from Holyoke Media, Be sure to record for posting, Monday the 15th evening at 6?, Saturday the 20th or 27th morning at 11?

August meeting – voted to cancel
