Agenda

Item 1: MCGEE -- That the public service committee begin the process of accepting resumes and interviewing candidates for the open position on the Board of Assessors.

Item 2: MCGEE -- That Appendix A of sec 2-35 of our ordinances be amended to add the positions of Assistant Procurement officer and Grant Manager for the Police Department.

Item 3: MCGEE -- Order that interviews begin for candidates for Interim Treasurer position.

Item 4: Communication from City Solicitor: Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Professional Supervisors Association dated July 8, 2022.

Item 5: Communication from Mayor Garcia with supplemental budget.

Item 6: Communication from City Solicitor regarding a memorandum of understanding for the positions of local inspector and plumbing inspector with NAGE.

  1. MCGIVERIN --  that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the "FFY19 PROJECT SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS PROGRAM, $64,850, NO MATCH " grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

  1. MCGIVERIN --  that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the "FY2023 STATE 911 DEPARTMENT SUPPORT & INCENTIVE, $246,443, NO MATCH " grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

  1. MCGIVERIN --  that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the "MASSACHUSETTS PRESERVATION PROJECTS FUND-STAINED GLASS WINDOW CONSERVATION, $55,000, 50% MATCH (CPA FUNDED)" grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

  1. MCGIVERIN --  that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the "MASSTRAILS - ANNIVERSARY HILL PARK TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS, $100,000, 20% MATCH (CPA FUNDED), " grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

  1. MCGIVERIN --  that there be and is hereby appropriated by transfer in the fiscal year 2023, ELEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY ONE AND 82/100/100 Dollars ($11,451.82) as follows:FROM:
