SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
March 20,2018

The meeting was called to order by President McGee at 06:00 PM.

The Clerk called the roll. Absent members: 2 (Leahy, Roman).

The name of Councilor Bartley was drawn to head the roll call voting.

Councilor Juan Anderson-Burgos name was called to head the roll call voting. Councilor Bartley volunteered to take the first vote and head the roll call: Council voted to allow this to take place.

—> Passed two readings and Adopted on a call of the roll of the yeas and nays –Yeas 10–Nays 1 (Bartley)–Absent 2 (Leahy, Roman).

Under discussion:
Rules were suspended to allow the Mayor, Auditor, Treasurer to address the Council and answer any questions.

Mayor Morse spoke and gave breakdown of each financial option in front of the Council. It was noted that any of the options would balance the budget for the City. Mayor Morse gave specifics on each order noting the dollar amount and line items that would be included. Mayor also gave summary of discussions that took place with outside auditors Melanson and Heath. Councilors discussed each of the options presented by the Mayor and asked relevant questions on each order. Bellamy Schmidt and Sandy Smith both addressed the Council to give information to the Council on the state of the proposals and current deficit issues from previous fiscal year. Bellamy and Sandy also gave info on status of bonds in the City.
