City FY26 Fall Paving Program Update
The City’s current paving contractor, Palmer Paving, is planning to begin milling (removal of
pavement) and paving activities for streets included in Round 1 of the City’s FY26 Paving
Program starting on or around October 8th . Streets included in Round 1 Paving include:
-Lower Westfield Rd (Homestead Ave to Whitney Ave)
-Gates Rd
-Davis St
-Worcester Place (High St to Commercial St)
-Crescent St (Clemente St to South East St)
Work is currently expected to proceed as follows:
-Friday, November 7th – Paving on Gates Rd and Davis St
-Monday, November 10th – Paving on Lower Westfield Rd, Worcester Pl, & Crescent St
Line striping – Scheduling to be determined
The above work is tentative only and subject to change based on weather and scheduling.
Emergency vehicles, local traffic, buses, and delivery services will be allowed through. Traffic signals will also be affected and set to timers during construction activities. Residents should expect minor delays and are requested to seek alternate routes if possible.
