Event takes place on July 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM
Wistariahurst, 238 Cabot St., Holyoke, MA 01040

Join City Historian and Wistariahurst Curator Penni Martorell and Master Gardener and garden volunteer Phyllis Barrett on a guided tour to learn more about the past and present of the Wistariahurst gardens. From buildings being dismantled and relocated, to vines planted in the 1880s, the landscape elements at Wistariahurst have a varied and unusual story to tell. Sarah Skinner began the gardens and planted the wisteria vines in the late 19th Century. The landscape was later transformed by her daughter Belle Skinner in the early 20th Century.  Today the grounds have been undergoing some historic restoration by a dedicated team of garden volunteers.  Experience these beautiful grounds, learn their history, and discover the activities that take place in the gardens today.

Admission to specialty tours is $10 or $7 for members, students, and seniors. Tickets for each tour are available online at
