The Heart/ El Corazón of Holyoke Art Project Unveiling Text Size

Event takes place on October 06, 2019 at 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM
Hamilton Street (Between Main and Race Street)

The City of Holyoke is proud to be part of a creative placemaking project The Heart of Holyoke (see summary here). As a creative placemaking project, El Corazón / The Heart of Holyoke, aims to develop spaces and places that are reflective of the Puerto Rican and Latinx communities surrounding Main Street and promote economic opportunity.

Two years ago, we developed a plan for several public art projects along Main St., and the first  to be funded is for a series of El Corazón / The Heart of Holyoke Banners to celebrate the Puerto Rican community and local heroes chosen by the Pa’lante Restorative Justice youth from the Holyoke Public School.

We invite you all attend the reveal of the banners on Sunday, October 6th from 2-4 PM on Hamilton Street, between Main and Race Street (Near Nueva Esperanza, 401 Main Street Holyoke, MA 01040.)
