Summer Fun at Wistariahurst: Fun Day Sundays Text Size

Event takes place on August 02, 2015 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Wistariahurst Museum, 238 Cabot Street

First Sundays through October:
August 2
September 6

Come join us for historic and artistic adventures inspired by the architecture, history, family stories, interior design, gardens, and culture of Wistariahurst. Bring your family to explore the gardens and the house to find inspiration for drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and more. Make an historically inspired art work as a souvenir of your visit to Wistariahurst.

Each Family Fun Day Sunday will be a different guided creative project. You may travel with the Skinners to Egypt and build a pyramid or to Paris and paint a tiny masterpiece on a miniature easel. A trip to the garden might yield a painting in pastels or watercolor. Seeing the elegantly decorated walls in the house might stimulate a project using printmaking as the medium. Perfect family activities that encourage observation, discovery and creativity.

Sessions will begin at 1:00 PM and end at 3:00 p.m. Registrations required, click here to reserve your space!

There will be a materials fee per project. Families may purchase one or more set of materials. $12.00 – General Fee, $10.00 – Members’ Fee
