There will be a regular meeting of the Committee on

Public Service

 At City Hall in the Council Chamber, on Monday, December 3rd  2018 at 6:30pm

Agenda:

Item 1: City Council review of Mayoral appointee Rachel Graber to the Library Board of Directors 

 

Item 2: City Council review Mayoral appointee Mark Cutting to serve as a member of HEDIC

 

Item 3: Lisi 4/17/18:  an order that the Mayor coordinate with HG&E and the Holyoke Police Dept. to provide a training to all municipal employees for how to identify and deal with cyber threats

 

Item 4: Lisi 4/17/18: an order that the HG&E alongside the HPD develop a protocol for identifying, reporting, and alerting City Hall employees of possible cyber threats and how to avoid them.

 

Item 5: Lisi 4/17/18: an order the City Council invite in the Chief of Police and any appropriate mental health care professionals to inform us of best practices for dealing with overdoses in the field as well as current protocol for dealing with passive exposure to fentanil and other dangerous opioids and/or narcotics.

 

Item 6: Lisi 2/6/18: Order:  that given the recent FCC rulings on net neutrality, the City Council invite in representatives from HG&E to discuss public access to broadband, fiber, and the G&E’s ability to provide free, city-wide WiFi.

 

Item 7: Lisi 5/15/18: Ordered that the City Council adopt a resolution to support local control over municipal clean energy standards and portfolios

 

Item 8: McGee 6/19/18: an order that the Crocker Communication system/phone system address the phone issues where verizon user constituents couldn’t call into the City for services.

 

Item 9: McGee 6/19/18: an order that the City Council invite in the newly hired web company to address the problems the City is having with the system, time line to fixing, etc.
