Item 1: Previous Meeting Minutes

Item 2: Public Hearing: McGee 4/16/19: Order that section 4.6.2.1 corner lot – be amended to allow Corner lots to be erected and maintain a fence when such fence will have no impact on traffic, visibility, etc

Item 3: Public Hearing:  Murphy, Bresnahan, Tallamn 4/2/19: Ordered that the City of Holyoke amend Section 7.10.4 Marijuana Facilities, Permitted Districts, to reduce the distance requirement from any pre-existing public or private school providing education in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten or any grades 1 through 12; measured from the lot lines of impacted properties to 200 feet for cultivation factories only as permissible under M.G.L. 94 g, section 5 (b)3.  All other marijuana functions would continue to require a 500 foot buffer.

Item 3: Petition of Candy Villaronga for a street Vendor license in front of 56 Adams St.

Item 4: Petition of Jesus Feliciano of 261 Elm St. for a street vendor license

Item 5: Petition of Arnaldo Ravento Lopez of 222 Pine St. for a street  vendor license to be located at 436 High St

Item 6: Anderson-Burgos 11/7/18: Order:  that temporary speed humps be placed on Anderson Avenue, and that a speed study be done on the corner of Sycamore and Anderson. A resident living on Anderson noticed an increase in traffic using excessive speed coming around the blind corner from Anderson to Sycamore from the other end of Anderson as well as off of Carter Street. She is concerned for the safety of her young child as well as others.

Item 7: Vacon 2/5/19: Order:  that a No Parking sign be placed near the driveway with an arrow toward the driveway of 16 Dale St. on the side near Cherry St. Drivers are parking so close to the driveway that the homeowners are having difficulty entering and exiting safely.

Item 8: Leahy 2/5/19: Order that the DPW installs/Paints  a Don’t Block the Box at the intersection of Southampton Road and Easthampton Road.

Item 9: Murphy 2/9/19: Ordered that the DPW place the following sidewalks on the list for spring projects.  East side South Bridge Street from S Canal to Jackson Street; South side of Jackson Street from S Summer to S Bridge; North Side of Sargeant Street from S Bridge to S East St.

Item 10: 2/19/19: Order:  The city install a crosswalk across Northampton St. near Washington Ave. and Lawler St. The purpose is to improve the safety of students getting to and from Metcalf School.

Item 11: 2/19/19 Order that a school zone speed limit sign very similar to the sign located at Lawrence School be placed in front of Metcalf School, at the crosswalk Northampton Street. and all Schools be reviewed.

Item 12: 10/2/18: Bartley: Order the City of Holyoke install appropriate signage and School Zone warning lights near the following schools on Northampton St.: Center School, Metcalf School and Blessed Sacrament School, and also at EN White School

 Item 13: McGee 12/18/18: Ordered that a no parking sign be installed near the driveway at 970 Hampden St.

Item 14: Valentin 1/15/19: Order:  That the City Engineer evaluate the placement of a four-way stop at the intersection of Locust and Sargeant Street. Request from residents.

Item 15: Anderson-Burgos 11/7/18: Ordered  that a sign be placed on both ends of Monroe Street prohibiting large trucks from using it as a pass through. Residents have expressed that this creates a danger for children, and that one truck also damaged a power line leading up to a resident’s house.

Item 16: Bartley 4/2/19: Order:  A do not block the box be inserted on Northampton St. at the top of Carlton St. in the southbound lane of Route 5

Item 17: Anderson-Burgos 3/19/19: Order that “no parking here to corner” signs be placed 20 feet on each side of Isabella Street leading to Forer Avenue as well on Forer Avenue leading to Isabella Street. Area residents have observed that cars parked on the narrow corner makes it a driving hazard, and potentially dangerous if large emergency vehicles attempt to navigate the corner.

Item 18: Tallman 3/19/19: Order:  that no parking be allowed at 1470 Dwight St. in Front of Gates., Also that hash mark (striped lines) be painted in front of Gates on street.

Item 19: Anderson-Burgos 3/19/19: Order that “no turn on red” signs be placed on Hillside Avenue on both sides of the intersection approaching Cherry St. Accidents and near accidents are a concern for motorists.

Item 20: McGee 3/19/19: l Order:  that a limited no parking sign be placed in front of 17 Beacon Ave (no parking from 7am to 8am and 3pm to 4pm) only during the week and not weekends.

Item 21: Vacon 9/5/18: Ordered That speed humps be installed on Lower Westfield Rd, Richard Eger Dr., Whitney Ave. and Lynn Ann Dr.

Item 22: McGee 5/15/19: Ordered that permanent speed bumps be installed on Bemis Rd, /Resident’s Petition

Item 23: Speed Bump Petition for Elmwood Avenue.
