Item 1: Previous Meeting Minutes
Item 2: McGiverin 2/4/20: Order: that a Finance Department be created, under the leadership of a Finance Director, with details of each to be added to our code of ordinances.”
Item 3: McGee 12/18/18: Order: Order that the following changes be made to the classification and compensation plans of chapter 2 proposed ordinance changes (see attached highlighted changes)
Item 4: Vacon 9/5/18: Order: that no change in pay for any elected official shall take effect during the current term of office. Individuals know the pay for the position at the time they run for office.
Item 5: Order: That Schedule B, Compensation for Elected Officials of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances be amended as follows, effective January 1, 2019:
City Clerk: $90,000
City Treasurer: $85,000
City Council: $12,500
City Council President: $1,000 (in addition to above)
Item 6: Roman 2/20/18: Ordered that the City of Holyoke take up and approve the salary study completed in 2014, and include in its salary revisions salaries of the Mayor, City Council and School Committee Members.
Item 7: Lisi 4/21/15: Ordered, that Section 2-35 of the Code of Ordinances, entitled “Classification and Compensation Plans” be amended to incorporate a new Classification and Compensation Plan, Elected Official Salary Ordinance and Miscellaneous Salary Schedule based upon the results of the HRS Salary Study, and that the current DH, PR and Miscellaneous Salary Schedules, as well as any other amendments previously adopted under this section be repealed.
Item 8: Vacon 11/19/19: Order: That City Council establish a school building study committee to review options and recommend steps for improvements within our city budget.
Membership to include but not be limited to:
Mayor, Receiver, one school committee member, one CC member, one small business owner, one large business owner, a parent with children in the public schools, a renter, a senior citizen, one teacher. Membership should represent all wards of the city to the greatest extent possible.
Item 9: McGee 2/18/20: Ordered that a handicap sign be placed in front of 89 Waldo St. for Paul R. Lasante
Item 10: Murphy 2/4/20: Ordered that a handicap sign be placed in front of 93 Jackson St. for Nashdiel Figueroa
Item 11: Hernandez 2/4/20: Ordered that a handicap sign be placed in front of 28 Clinton Ave. for James Kelley
