Per order of the Chair: Linda Vacon
Item 1: Petition of Holyoke Mall Company L.P. for a new Special Permit for a Height Limitation (5.3.1.) for 50 Holyoke St.
Item 2: Murphy 6/4/19: Ordered that the contract with Zip Cars be reviewed to determine why the city is not receiving any revenue from this enterprise and what can be changed to make sure the city receives an appropriate payment for allowing this company special parking privileges downtown.
Item 3: Lisi 6/18/19: Ordered that Section 62-37 hours of operation for peddlers and/or solicitors be amended
Item 4: Murphy 10/2/19: Ordered that the City create an ordinance which would ban the usage of thin-film single-use plastic bags that are being used by retail establishments. Such ban to take place within 180 days of the passage of the ordinance
Item 5: Lisi 2/6/18: Order: that the City Council adopt an ordinance that phases out and prohibits the use of plastic bags in the city (plastics bags are one of the greatest contributors to the trash and debris problems we have throughout the city and many neighboring city’s have passed language that we can emulate).
