The festival this year will be honoring the 50th Anniversary of Capri Pizza, as well as the 145th Anniversary of Turn Hall. Local South Holyoke/Ward 2 eateries will be on hand offering specials of their most iconic dishes. Besides Capri and Turn Hall, other area eateries that will be present include Fiesta Café, Dam Yankees BBQ, Racing Mart’s Subway and Dunkin Donuts, C-Town, Holyoke Hummus, and the South Holyoke Hot Dog Stand. A more detailed list of food/restaurants participating will be released in the coming weeks.

The event will feature a “Kid Zone,” at Soucey Park with exciting activities, including face painters and much more! Live entertainment will be provided on the main stage located at the Capri Pizza parking lot (transformed into an outdoor patio) throughout the day. The main stage will feature local talent. For those interested in sports and recreation fun, the festival will feature bowling, horseshoes and bocce ball at Turn Hall, an outdoor domino’s tournament, a basketball tournament and a handball clinic.

The festival is being sponsored in part by Ward 2 City Councilor Nelson Roman, the City of Holyoke, Parks & Rec department, Nueva Esperanza, Capri Pizza, Fiesta Café, Brightwood Press & UWM Holdings. This year’s Festival Committee will be chaired by Ward 2 City Councilor Nelson Roman. “This event will bring a heightened sense of awareness/pride to the Cabot Street corridor and South Holyoke, as the heart of the City of Holyoke,” said Roman.
