The Third Annual Holyoke Winter Carnival will kick off February 7, 2014 – a 10 day city-wide celebration of winter themed festivities.
The community-driven celebration will bring together diverse community groups for a week and a half long series of winter art and entertainment events that enriches the cultural, economic, and social vitality of the City of Holyoke.
The Holyoke Winter Carnival encourages community organizations, synagogues, churches, schools, and businesses to sponsor unique, creative, and inviting winter theme events that celebrate Holyoke.
This year the Carnival will have two themed weekends. The first weekend Friday February 7 – 9, will focus on recreation and sports to coincide with the start of the Winter Olympics. It will feature hockey matches, a curling demonstration, outdoor walk on Mt. Tom, and much more. The second weekend, February 13-16, will celebrate Holyoke Arts and Entertainment with a Night Parade, Quilt Show, Free Community Pancake Breakfast, Cake Decorating, Chili Cook-off, and the new table top flower arrangment contest.
