Holyoke Pride March & Rally Text Size

Event takes place on June 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM
250 Chestnut Street

Everyone is welcome to join us and march in the Holyoke Pride 2015 parade and then rest and have fun at the rally in Heritage Park. This is the essence of a hometown parade. There is no registration and no fee. If you want to march as a contingent that is great, if you want to march in motley disarray, that is also fine. We have rainbow flags, boppers and rainbow beach balls, leis and hats to ensure that we have a festive time while making a powerful political statement.

Everyone is welcome, everyone is included and we want everyone to share the joy of being out and proud in Holyoke.

Gather at the Holyoke Public Library’s new main entrance on Chestnut Street at 11:30. We will start the march right at Noon and head down Cabot Street then up High Street past City Hall where our Rainbow Flag is proudly displayed and then into Heritage Park (Dwight and the upper level canal) for our rally which starts at 12:30. The march is short so that children and old folks can do it easily.

The rally will feature drag queens, slam poets, activist speakers and surprises. It will run from 12:30 -2pm. This is a family friendly event and there are special discounts at the Children’s Museum and the historic merry go round (both in Heritage Park).

Following our rally, La Noche de San Juan takes the stage with incredible Puerto Rican dance music until 9pm.

There will be limited cold drinks and snacks available, but consider bringing a picnic to enjoy and share in down-home style.
