The Holyoke Local Cultural Council is pleased to host a reception in honor of its 2014 grant recipients on Thursday, March 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at The Yankee Pedlar Inn, 1866 Northampton Street.  Grant recipients will be on-hand to share information about this year’s funded projects, and members of the HLCC will be available to answer questions about the 2015 grant cycle.  A full list of award recipients is included below.

The Holyoke Local Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth.  The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.


This year, the Holyoke Local Cultural Council funded 32 grants totaling $27,947.  The HLCC will seek applications again in the fall for 2015 funding.  Information and forms are available online at  Applications are due October 15, 2014.
