This bike tour around Holyoke’s mills is back by popular demand! Grab your bike and join us to learn about early innovation in Holyoke, including the development of the city’s canals, energy infrastructure and mills. See how this landscape is evolving, and explore potential sites for development–all from the seat of a bicycle! This will be a slow and easy ride. Please bring your own bike.

Craig Della Penna is a Holyoke native, and local real estate broker. He is the author of five books.  One of his books was ‘Images of America: Holyoke’, now in its sixth printing. He also was directly involved in starting two local advocacy groups: Save Historic Holyoke and Friends of the Holyoke Canal Walk.

Come learn about renewable energy in Holyoke through this limited edition tour at the Holyoke Dam. This is a chance to experience locations that are usually off-limits to the general public (think incredible views!), and see and learn more about Holyoke Gas & Electric’s hydro and a brand new solar facility.
