The Thursday Experiment, hosted by Bonnie Kane, presents the cutting edge of improvisational and experimental music. The show will feature both established and innovative experimental musicians, with an open jam to follow inclusive of all who wish to participate. This is an ongoing exercise that exhibits openness and rejection of guidelines or borders within which art and music are expected to exist.

Holyoke Community College invites you to explore its state of the art Culinary Arts Institute located in the heart of downtown Holyoke. The following are two ways to experience this event:
Option #1: Behind the Scenes/In the Kitchens (extremely limited seats!)
Ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes in your favorite restaurant? Come experience this ‘open’ class at the brand new MGM HCC Culinary Arts Institute in downtown Holyoke. You’ll will experience what it’s like to work in a commercial kitchen, experiment with cutting edge culinary equipment, and make some tasty treats that you then get to enjoy! Whether you dream of being a chef, or just looking for a fun and delicious afternoon activity, this class is for you. Please note that you will need to arrive at 3.30pm sharp to participate. Long pants, sleeved shirt and closed-toed footwear required. Please RSVP at this link (required). Spots will fill up fast!
Option #2: Tasting Tour
Don’t have time for the full behind the scenes experience, but want to check out the facility anyway? Come take a self-guided tour of the facility, tasting a variety of finger foods along the way. No RSVP required for this experience. This part begins at 4pm.
The lobby of the STEAM Building is transformed into a gallery of student art work with appetizers from Whole Foods. Come see! Gifted students from LightHouse Holyoke will be showing (and selling) their work. We will also be unveiling our beautiful new recording studio upstairs created by Professional Drywall and Northfire Recording Studio. All welcome
