Holyoke Easter Drag Text Size

Event takes place on April 05, 2015 at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM

Mayor Alex B. Morse invites the public to join him on Easter Sunday, April 5th from 11:00AM to 2:00PM for Holyoke’s annual Easter Drag. This longstanding Easter tradition brings families and friends together to celebrate Easter and welcome in the spring season.

This Easter tradition gathers families on Northampton Street to “walk the drag” on both sides of the street from the Yankee Pedlar to Nick’s Nest and Fire Station #3.  Along the route, children will be greeted by fire trucks at Station #3, and the Easter Bunny and “Nick the Hot Dog” will be at Nick’s Nest from 11AM to 2PM. Vintage cars from Summit Cruisers will be on display along the route and outside of Nick’s Nest from 11AM to 1PM and will be joined by motorized sub-units from the Melha Shriners. The Yankee Pedlar will host their Easter brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 P.M.

Once again, the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round will be open from 12:00 PM to 3PM, and the Easter Bunny will give out candy, pose for pictures and take rides with children. Those who wear their Easter finery, including but not limited to bunny ears and whiskers, will be treated to a 1/2 price ride on the Merry Go Round.
