Event takes place on August 30, 2016 at 6:00 PM
Senior Center @ 291 Pine Street - 2nd Floor

You’re invited to attend a public meeting on the City’s Historic Preservation Plan update. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 30 at 6 p.m. in the second floor Activity Room of the Holyoke Senior Center at 291 Pine Street.

This meeting will focus on the recently completed Phase II plan strategies including priority endangered properties, recommendations for new municipal ordinance, regulation and policy strategies and recommendations for better integrating historic preservation into City land use planning, zoning and inspection services.

Holyoke’s historic resources represent an extraordinary inheritance passed down through generations. Come and share your thoughts with us on how to best protect our City’s history and enhance its future.

This planning effort is being performed by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) under the management of the City’s Office of Planning and Economic Development and the Office of Community Development. Funding for this work comes from Community Development Block Grant funds and a Massachusetts Historical Commission Survey & Planning Grant.

Productive community feedback is encouraged, as it is an important part of the planning process. If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in providing feedback on historic preservation in Holyoke, please contact Elizabeth Rairigh at PVPC ( or 413-781-6045).

Questions? Please contact Debbie Oppermann, OPED, 413-322-5565.
