There will be a regular meeting of the Ordinance Committee on Tuesday Oct. 23rd at 6:30pm

Item 1: Public Hearing: Resident’s petition / Council Order McGee: “Ordered that permanent speed bumps be installed on Bemis Rd.”
Item 2: Special permit application from Westfield Bank for installation of an automatic teller machine (ATM) at 1650 Northampton St. (Map 106 Block 00 Parcel 101).
Item 3: Vacon 9/5/18: Order that DPW change yield sign from Westfield Rd to Homestead to a stop sign. Sight limitations are creating a safety hazard.
Item 4: Valentin 9/5/18: Order to Amend Chapter 86 to move the handicap parking space currently located on Oak Street to a location approximately 20 feet further south of Dwight Street. Said space will be located in front of 121 Oak St.
Item 5: Bartley 10/2/18: Ordered that the City of Holyoke install appropriate signage and School Zone warning lights near the following schools on Northampton St.: Center School, Metcalf School and Blessed Sacrament School, and also at EN White School. Refer to Ordinance, Finance, DPW and Mayor.
Item 6: Lebron-Martinez 9/5/18: Order: that residents who reside at 179 High Street be given permanent resident parking. See letter forward by one residents and others in same address in agreement.
Item 7: Vacon 3/20/18: Order: that speed limit signs (30mph) be installed on Mt Rd ( request 2-3 on each side of the road).
Item 8: Lebron-Martinez 5/1/18: Constituents request that a resident parking only signs be place in front of 340 Hampden Street other clients utilizing certain establishments leaving those who reside in this address without parking during the evening hours. Many are working individuals who ended up riding around in order to find parking places.
Item 9: Bartley 2/20/18: Order: The DPW superintendent and the Mayor look into making Rt. 5 in the Crosier Field area and Mackintosh Terrace safer for pedestrians. Please provide feedback on a pedestrian crossing light at the intersection near Center School as well as speed humps on Mackintosh Terrace and, finally, a sidewalk on the north side of Mackintosh Terrace. HPD should provide motor vehicle crash & accident data for Rt. 5 between Beech & South St. as well as Mackintosh Terrace
Item 10: ROMAN Bartley — Ordered that the City of Holyoke draft and adopt a Small Cell Tower Installation ordinance said ordinance would limit equipment must not extend further than 50 inches from the top of the pole/roof. Once installed, all rooftop poles/roofs would be subject to inspection by the city every other year at a fee of $500 apiece to said wireless company.
