Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Breakfast Text Size

The Greater Holyoke Council for Human Understanding would like to invite the public to join in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Breakfast. The event will be held at Slainte Restaurant in Holyoke at 8:00 am with a ticket price of $15 at the door.

The breakfast aims to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr by featuring a guest speaker who has done extraordinary work.

The guest speaker this year will be Professor Willie Hill who is the Director of the Fine Arts Center and a Professor in Music Education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst . He is a member of the national board of directors for Young Audiences Arts for Learning, Inc. and a trustee for the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. Additionally, Dr. Hill was the past-president of various organizations including The National Association for Music Education, the International Association for Jazz Education, the Colorado Music Educators Association, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.

There will also be a musical performance by the Holyoke High School Madrigals directed by Mark Todd.
