  • Description: Replacement of an existing Septic System

B) Request for Determination of Applicability

  • Description: Replacement of existing Holyoke 17L Substation as well as a new steel transmission pole on Race Street, which will eliminate the need for four existing transmission poles that run parallel to the 2nd Level Canal along Race Street

C) Massachusetts DOT Right-of-Way clearing along Amtrak Rail Line

  • Description: Concerns about quality and location of vegetation removal activities

2. Old Commission Business

A) Notice of Intent: DEP 186-0268 – Continued until April 26, 2018

  • Applicant: Eversource
  • Representative: Tighe & Bond
  • Location: Connecticut River, South of the former Mount Tom Coal Generating Station
  • Description: Temporary pad construction to facilitate insulator replacement at structure 7107/1109 located along utility line 1447/1428 east of Route 5.  The insulator replacement is being filled under section 310 CMR 10.02(2)(a)(2) which allows for activities conducted to repair, replace, but not substantially change or enlarge an existing lawfully located structures.  Additionally, the Applicant is requesting that Limited Project Status be granted for pad grading activities within Bordering Land Subject to Flooding and the 200-Foot Riverfront Resource Area per 310 CMR 10.53(3)(d).

B) Notice of Intent: DEP 186-0269 – Continued until April 26, 2018

  • Applicant: Department of Conservation & Recreation
  • Representative: SWCA
  • Location: Mount Tom State Reservation
  • Description: Invasive species management, using both mechanical and chemical treatments.
