  1. VEGA, Lebron-Martinez (9/3/13)

Ordered, that Section 82:3 (f) be amended to read: Section 82:3 (f) The tax collector shall appear before or provide to the city council on a quarterly basis, information regarding tax agreements. The information provided to the city council shall include but not be limited to, date agreement entered into, the name and home address of the taxpayer, the address of the property, and in the case of a business, the names of the corporate officers, and the amount due. If a tax agreement over the amount of $10,000 is not in compliance, the tax collector shall notify the mayor and the city council within 30 days. That the Tax Collector not enter into any agreement if the taxpayers is currently in Tax Title for that parcel or any other parcel in the City under the same owner.

Ordered, that the City Council create an ordinance to regulate the use of license plate readers and the storage of driver data by the Holyoke Police Department in the City of Holyoke.  That the City Council also further regulate the use of facial recognition software and the storage of driver data if being deployed by the Holyoke Police Department.

Ordered, that Whereas: The City frequently encounters situations where a prolonged absence puts an unfair burden on that person’s co-workers

 Ordered: That the City establish and fund a fair compensation policy for staff doing significant extra work or carrying significant extra responsibility due to such absence.

Ordered, that the Holyoke City Council petition the State Legislature to amend the Special Act creating the Geriatric Authority, to remove the City as the fiduciary guarantor and authorize the legal department to draft language to accomplish this change.

Ordered, that the City of Holyoke explorer the possibility of providing the application process to apply for a US passport prefer location in the tax collection office


  1. BARTLEY, Tallman (5/7/13)

Ordered, that Holyoke City Council amend the city’s ordinances in order to adopt an official flag for the City of Holyoke.
