Understanding the Architecture of Your Town
6:30pm - 7:30pm
Every city and town has a built environment that is unique to their own economic, political, cultural, and social circumstances. Holyoke’s housing stock, for instance, was greatly influenced by the presence of the paper and textile factories.
Join Brianne Zulkiewicz for a virtual crash course into how to investigate your own town’s architectural history.
She will explain how to trace the historical trends that shaped our architectural history using databases, archives, records, and local resources. Plus, she’ll talk about some common architectural styles you might have in your own neighborhoods!
This is a free, online presentation. Registration is required.
