Helene Florio, President of the Holyoke Taxpayers Association is pleased to announce the plans for a FINAL DEBATE between the two Mayoral Candidates, Michael J. Sullivan and Joshua Garcia.

 

The Debate/Forum will be held at Holyoke High North in the Auditorium on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  The doors will open at 5:30 with the debate itself starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.  This Lincoln-Douglas style debate will have the candidates asking  questions of each other on topics given them by the Moderator.  Additional questions will be asked of the candidates by the Moderator.

 

Anthony Cignoli the president of A. L. Cignoli Company, the public relations, political and governmental affairs company he founded in 1992 will be the Moderator.  The company serves political and corporate clients across America.  He is also President of Anthony L. Cignoli Associates, Inc.

 

Mr. Cignoli will be working with the Holyoke Taxpayers Association in developing the questions for the event.  Tony is a frequent commentator and political analyst for newspapers, radio and television news, including; The Huffington Post, CNN, OBS, WWLP and WGBY.

 

Ms. Florio said, “we are very pleased that Mr. Cignoli has been able to accommodate this debate in his schedule.”  “Holyoke Taxpayers believes this election to be one of the most important in Holyoke’s history.”

 

Live broadcast for the event will be made possible by Holyoke Media running on local Cable Access Channel 15.

 

The City of Holyoke has Covid-19 Mask mandates in place which will be required of all who enter the building.  We ask that everyone practice social distancing.

 

Polls will be open Tuesday, November 2, 2021.  Take advantage of this opportunity to become an educated voter by attending this debate.
