Holyoke Green Infrastructure Workshop #2: “Resilient Plants”
10:00am - 12:00pm Race Street Canal Walk between Dwight and Appleton
80 Race Street, Holyoke, MA 01040
Celebrating facilities that manage rainfall using plants is central to a three-part series offered by the City of Holyoke. Each event is designed to showcase a different “green infrastructure” facility in the City and give participants an opportunity to gather and learn from hands-on activities that range from rebuilding a drainage path to getting new plants into the soil. The events are free and offer food and childcare for those attending.
Resilient Plants – Saturday, June 4, 10 to noon, Race St. (between Dwight and Appleton Streets). Explore urban factors that make it tough for plants to survive. Then help re-plant with native species suited to this environment.
