Holyoke Green Infrastructure Workshop #1: “How Water Moves”
3:00pm - 5:00pm Holyoke Public Library parking Lot
250 Chestnut Street, Holyoke, MA 01040
Celebrating facilities that manage rainfall using plants is central to a three-part series offered by the City of Holyoke. Each event is designed to showcase a different “green infrastructure” facility in the City and give participants an opportunity to gather and learn from hands-on activities that range from rebuilding a drainage path to getting new plants into the soil. The events are free and offer food and childcare for those attending.
How Water Moves – Saturday, May 14, 3 to 5 p.m., Holyoke Public Library, 250 Chestnut Street. Trace how rainfall moves through the parking lot and into the rain garden basin. Then help rebuild the basin’s edge.
