CARES Act CDBG-CV Funds

The City of Holyoke Office for Community Development is seeking comments on the proposed FFY2019 Amendment to the Annual Plan to incorporate CDBG-CV Funds. These funds were allocated to the City by United States Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prepare for, to prevent, and to address the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The City solicited proposals for the use of the $744,265.00 in CDBG-CV and received thirty three proposals. The City may utilize prior year CDBG funds from FY2018 and/or FY2019 Activities up to $200,000.00 to supplement the CDBG-CV funds depending on feasibility of activities in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and to ensure access to as many participants as possible are able to participate, a virtual public hearing and meeting with the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) will be held on Monday May 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Interested parties are invited to participate by using freeconferencecall.com, Meeting ID: zoellera8 or by calling into the public hearing at 605-468-8731 and using access code 746690#.
Public comments on the CDBG-CV Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 pm EST on Wednesday May 20, 2020. Comments may be emailed to martinsj@holyoke.org or left on the voicemail at 413-322-5610. Alternative formats and languages are available upon request to martinsj@holyoke.org or by leaving a message at 413-322-5610. City Hall and City Hall Annex remain closed to due to the pandemic.
