Veterans Day Program Text Size

The United Veterans of Holyoke will hold a service in the Holyoke War Memorial Building at 310 Appleton St. All members of the public are invited to attend this service honoring Holyoke’s veterans and all veterans of this great nation who have proudly served honorably and well. There will be a posting of the flags at 9:45 a.m. Monday and a ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. 

Awards will be presented to Veteran of the Year David Bellefeuille, a public safety award to Colonel Timothy P. Alben, superintendent of the state police, and a Citizen of the Year award to Jean Dietrich, chief of staff of the Holyoke Auxiliary Police. 

Color guards will be present from the Holyoke Veterans Organizations and the Holyoke Auxiliary Police. Pipers from the Caledonia Pipe Band will accompany them. The Mountain View Baptist Church choir will perform patriotic and choral arrangements throughout the program. 

The master of ceremonies will be James Hoar and the opening and closing prayer will be offered by Holyoke United Veterans Chaplain Ralph LeFebvre.
