Summer Reading Program Text Size

Read for fun! Reading just 5 books over the summer months will help young people overcome learning loss. And regular access to public libraries can make the difference between their summer setback and summer success.

A joint effort between the Holyoke Public Schools and the Holyoke Public library are going to make it easy and fun for students and parents to stay on track.

Students in grades K‐8 can sign up to participate in the summer reading challenge. All students who do this will be eligible to win a Chromebook in their school’s raffle in early September. In addition, Dr. Stephen Zrike will provide a special school wide treat to the school that has the overall highest percentage of students returning their completed calendar or journal.
