Speaking Another Language Text Size

Voluntary Spanish classes are a way for employees to provide better service to a growing Hispanic population. And four City of Holyoke employees did just that. Through a partnership with Holyoke Community College’s Community Services program, they were able to attend a semester long evening class to learn Conversation Spanish. The course, taught by Harry Rodriguez, focused on common Spanish words, greetings and phrases that could be useful in the work place -  even if it was nothing more than to help them communicate enough until they could get someone there to translate.
