Salvation Army Thanksgiving and Christmas Assistance Available Text Size

Holyoke Corps continues tradition of serving local families in need.

Holyoke, MA – With Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching, The Salvation Army is once again prepared to assist those in our community that need it most. On November 25, 2015 at 3:00 pm The Salvation Army will serve a Thanksgiving Dinner at our Feeding Program. Local families experiencing financial hardship are invited to sign up for our annual Christmas Assistance. Families in need will receive toys for children aged 0-13 for Christmas.

Registration will be available Monday, November 30- December 4th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm while supplies last. Those looking to register for Christmas Toys assistance need to bring proof of address (If in Shelter a letter with your name and shelter address or letter from the DTA office), and identification for everyone in household (Drivers license or state-issued ID card , birth certificate for each child).

“No parent wants to think about their child having no gifts under the tree. Thanks to generous donors, we are able to assist families in need during this critical time.” said Lt. Miguel Garces.

Local residents who wish to volunteer to assist with Thanksgiving or Christmas distribution are encouraged to contact The Salvation Army. Donation of Turkey, non perishable foods or Toys are welcome.
