Opening Celebration and Proclamation for Colombian Independence Day Text Size

This year, for the first time, a group of Colombian residents in Holyoke and their families are coming together to share their culture and celebrate their heritage. The festivities will start at 5 PM at City Hall with an opening ceremony, including a proclamation by Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse. Some of the first Colombians to settle in Holyoke will be recognized. There will also be live music, food, and traditional dance performances.

There will be a community Colombian potluck on Sunday, July 26th, at Community Field in Holyoke from 12-5 PM, offering a variety of food, live music, and dance performances.

This celebration not only salutes the heritage of Colombians in the USA, but the contributions made by people who have moved to Holyoke and have made this city their home.

We hope you will accept our invitation and celebrate with us!
