Mayor Morse Announces Changes in Office Staff Text Size

Following the inauguration ceremony of his second term, Mayor Alex Morse announced personnel changes taking place within the Office of the Mayor.  His support staff will consist of Chief of Staff Rory Casey, and Mayoral Aide Tessa Murphy-Romboletti.

Tessa Murphy-Romboletti began working for Mayor Morse at the beginning of his first term in January 2012 as his Executive Assistant. She was raised in Holyoke and is a product of the Holyoke Public Schools. During her time at the University of Delaware, Tessa was an intern in the office of former Mayor Michael J. Sullivan. After graduating in 2011 with bachelors’ degrees in History and Sociology, Tessa moved to Manhattan to work as the Assistant to the Directors at LeAp, an arts integration non-profit, but returned to Holyoke to work for Mayor Morse. She is an active member of the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade Committee and sits on the Board of the Friends of Holyoke Public Schools.

Rory Casey is joining the Mayor’s office after working as Aide to State Representative Aaron Vega. There he was responsible for managing offices both in the district and at the statehouse, constituent services and drafting legislation. Previously he worked as a special assistant to Treasurer Jon Lumbra, preparing tax title properties for the city’s first public auction in over 30 years. He has also served on the Conservation Commission, the Clean City Initiative and is a veteran campaign operative at the municipal and state level. Rory currently is restoring a historic row house in downtown Holyoke, where he lives with his wife and five year old son.
