Mayor Alex B. Morse will deliver his first State of the City address on behalf of the City of Holyoke. The Mayor will deliver the address at 7PM at the start of the regular council meeting on Tuesday, April 1 in the City Council Chambers of Holyoke City Hall.  The address comes in light of an order filed by Councilor At-Large Rebecca Lisi with the unanimous support of the City Council, inviting Mayor Morse to appear before the Council to provide an update on the current state of the City, including challenges and successes within the fields of education, public safety, economic development and finances. The Mayor will discuss future initiatives and legislative goals for the upcoming year, including initiatives that will aim to generate revenue and policy changes that will increase accountability and address recurring quality of life issues. The event will be aired live on the City’s public access channel and will be made available online following the address.
