HG&E helps Holyoke Seniors prepare for Winter Text Size

HOLYOKE, MA – Floor to ceiling windows, decorated by holiday trees at the new Senior Center set the stage for Holyoke Gas & Electric’s (HG&E) annual Winter Talk on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1 pm, coordinated by the Golden Age Club.

Representatives from HG&E explained the dangers of space heaters, power strips, hair dryers, and other electrical devices that are popular in the winter months. The event included a raffle for Holyoke residents and attendees received an energy star light bulb.  Every year, it’s HG&E’s goal to educate Seniors and offer tips that will help keep them safe in the winter season. HG&E has been providing the Winter Talk to Holyoke’s Seniors since 2000.
