Halloween in Holyoke! Text Size

Saturday, October 26th & Sunday, October 26th Holyoke will be in full effect for Halloween! Please see the list below for all of the fun, festive events happening in Holyoke this weekend!

 

Saturday, October 26th

Creepers: Ghouls & Goblins:
Holyoke Parks & Rec and Wistariahurst collaborate for a fun-filled event at Wistariahurst including games, crafts, goodie bags and more! Admission $2 per child or $10 for families of 5 or more children. To register, call Holyoke Parks & Rec at 413-322-5620. This event is rain or shine.

Event takes place on October 26, 2013 at 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Wistariahurt Museum – 238 Cabot Street

Monster Ball:
Under the looming stained glass windows in the gothic Grand Ballroom of Holyoke City Hall, the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra will be performing classic waltzes with interludes of the symphonic renditions of popular video games like Angry Birds, Pokemon and Final Fantasy – and will be accompanied by members of the Holyoke High School Choir.  There will be FREE pizza, seasonal treats, a costume contest, a raffle and prizes all surrounded by acts of monstrous dancing. The event is fun for the whole family and FREE for kids of all ages.

Admission Free: All donations will go towards the restoration of the stained glass windows in Holyoke City Hall.

Creature Crawl:
After the Ball at City Hall, the Monster’s will be released to haunt Heritage State Park for the 3rd annual Creature Crawl from 6pm-8pm.  At dusk, fall foliage will  be ceremoniously dropped into the water initiating a petrifying parade along the Canal Walk. The parade route will feature music and performers as well as food, games and art activities; concluding with enchanted rides on the historic merry-go-round.

Candlelight Tours:
Tour ghostly Wistariahurst Museum by candlelight! Creep down darkened hallways and rooms of the spirit-filled Skinner Mansion on a rare guided tour at night! Reservations necessary. Tickets $15 general/ $10 members.  Register online here or call Wistariahurst Museum at (413) 322-5660.

After(life) Party:
Sponsored by MIFA and the Holyoke Local Cultural Council, this is one for the big kids (21+), a haunted Halloween bash in the grand ballroom of City Hall will be held from 8pm until midnight.  There will be FREE pizza, a Zombie DJ, a costume contest with creepy prizes and a Cash Bar courtesy of Brennan’s Place.

Costumes are a must.   

Tickets are $20 at the door - all proceeds go to restore the Stained Glass Windows.

Sunday, October 27

Historic Holyoke Cemetery Tour
Join City Historian Penni Martorell for an insightful afternoon or evening walking tour through Forestdale Cemetery. The history of some of Holyoke’s founding families will be revealed. Rain back up is Monday, Oct. 28 at 6:00 p.m. Admission $10/ $7 members, pre-registration is required. Register online here.
