Get Ready for Celebrate Holyoke! Text Size
After a ten year absence, Celebrate Holyoke is coming back with full force! From August 21st to August 23rd, Heritage State Park will be the location of a free festival with entertainment, food, and fun! This is a great chance of all members of the community to celebrate our great city and show our pride.
There will be over fifteen different food vendors from all over Holyoke including The Yankee Pedlar, Slainte, and Gateway City Arts. Everything from hamburgers to pizza to clam chowder will be available for purchase as well as local craft beer from Paper City Brewing Company, Inc.
The music line-up for the weekend is also guaranteed to be a favorite aspect of the festival this year. Over 20 different bands and artists will be performing to showcase their extraordinary talents. They remind us of all the talent that we are so lucky to have here in Holyoke. All three days will have a set of six or more bands that will play throughout the day until the late evening. Art work will also be available for purchase.
Slide the City is one event that you definitely cannot miss out on. A 1,000 foot slip-and-slide will be covering Dwight Street on August 22nd for the residents of Holyoke to cool off with. Bring your bathing suits, friends and family and take break from the hot sun. Tickets can be purchased online at www.slidethecity.com/events/holyoke-ma/.
None of this would be possible without the great sponsors we have here in Holyoke. Providing a free festival for people to enjoy does not come without a price tag. Local businesses who have contributed and other sponsors can be found on the website. For further information on vendors, entertainment, and sponsors, check out the website at www.celebrateholyokemass.com.
The festival is also currently looking for volunteers. Volunteers who are able to commit to four our more hours of service will be provided with a food voucher and water. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact email@example.com.
We hope to see you there!
