11th Annual Founder’s Day Car Show Text Size

The City of Holyoke will be holding its 11th Annual Founder’s Day Car Show on Sunday, September 8th, 2013.  The streets of downtown Holyoke will be filled with antiques, street rods, classics, customs, imports, and special interest automobiles, from noon until 5:00 PM.  The cars will be organized and judged by Low & Perfection Car Club.  Kids can enjoy Die Cast Car Racing by J & J Hot Match.  Bring your own cars or buy one when you get there.  The Merry-Go-Round will be open for rides, if you bring a report card with all A’s on it, you will be rewarded with a free ride!

Music will be provided by DJ Edski.  There will be food vendors, car and motorcycle judging. This is a family friendly event, with plenty of activities for kids to enjoy.

Please be advised that some downtown streets will be closed after 5:30AM.  There will be no parking on High Street from Appleton to Lyman Street and Dwight Street from Maple  to Front Street will be closed.

 

All vendors interested in participating please contact the Mayor’s Office for an application. Vendors must obtain the following:

• Massachusetts State Permit
• Holyoke Board of Health Permit
• Fire prevention permit, if using propane and;
• Copy of your certificate of insurance

Water or electricity will not be provided and vendors must properly dispose of their trash at the end of the event. Vendors will be assigned their location at the arrival, and vendors will be authorized on a first come, first serve basis. The event will be held rain or shine.
