Notice of Committee Meeting
There will be a regular meeting of the Committee on Public Safety
At City Hall in the Council Chamber, on Thursday March 9th 2017 at 6:00PM

Item 1: Approval of previous meeting minutes
Item 2: McGee: Ordered that the Public Safety committee invite in both Chief of Police, Fire Chief and representative from Holyoke Medical Center to discuss the new ambulance service with the city.
Item 3: Vacon 1/17/17: Order: that the HFD surveillance video or other video available and call logs be provided to the Public Safety Committee for review for North East Street fire.
Item 4: Sullivan 1/17/17: Order: That the Holyoke Fire Dept. immediately provide all records regarding use of any time off, tardiness, or absences. This is to include all scheduled, or unscheduled, illness, vacation, or any other time off for Dec. 31, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2017.
Item 5: Lopez 1/17/17: Order That the Fire Dept., and Mayor come to the Finance Dept. to discuss the department budget and staff. Also, any plan or plans to discontinue the ironic brown out in the department.
Item 6: Council approval of the City of Holyoke 2016 Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan Update
Item 7: Sullivan 2/7/17: Order: the Board of Health take immediate enforcement action against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield to clean and prevent further accumulation of avian fecal matter in the Mater Dolorosa Church. This material is a serious respiratory threat and breeding ground for maggots and other fungus.
Item 8: Sullivan 2/7/17: Order: That the Board of Health or Building Inspector take immediate enforcement action against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield to take the necessary measures to prevent the growth of white mold in the Mater Dolorosa Church. This fungus is not only a serious respiratory threat but it also accelerates the deterioration of valuable historic artifacts.
Item 9: Sullivan 2/7/17: Order: That Mark E. Dupont and Russell A. Sprague of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, and their agent Barry Engineers, be invited to answer questions of public safety surrounding the Mater Dolorosa Church and Rectory.
