Robert O’Connor, Director, Executive Office of Environmental Affairs. The field house at MacKenzie Field was not selected for funding through the Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities Program.

4. City Council Orders Received:
Introduced by Councilor Todd McGee
Ordered, that the loan order of the City Council appropriating $2,000,000 for costs of park repairs and improvements passed September 2, 2014 is hereby amended to increase the amount appropriated and to add another facility, such that the order reads in its entirely as follows:
“Ordered: That the sum of $2,175,000 is appropriated to pay costs of repairs and improvements at four (4) City owned park facilities: Roberts Athletic Complex, Mackenzie Stadium, Crosier Field and Jones Point Park sports facilities, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto, and that to meet this appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor, is authorized to borrow said amount under and pursuant to G.L.c. 44, Sec. 7(25), or pursuant to any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the City therefore.
Further ordered: That the Treasurer is authorized to file an application to qualify under Chapter 44A of the General Laws any and all of the bonds or notes authorized to be issued pursuant to this Order, and to provide such information and execute such documents as may be required for such purposes.
In City Council, December 2, 2014. Received and referred to the Finance Committee. In City Council on December 16, 2014, the Report of Committee passed two readings and adopted on a call of the roll of yeas and nays. Yeas 13 Nays 0 Absent 2.
Introduced by Councilors David Bartley, Daniel Bresnahan, Howard Greany, Kevin Jourdain, James Leahy and Anthony Soto.
Ordered, to solicit input from the Ward 3 residents and interested parties. Order that the DPW and Parks and Recreation Commissioners organize a public meeting or two to discuss the pending improvements at Crosier, Mackenzie and Archie Roberts Stadium. The meeting should be held either at Peck or Holyoke High. Please coordinate with Dennis Birks, Dr. Paez and Councilor Bartley.
